Z-FOLD BABY COMING SOON

Hello everyone,

Today, I have a card for a baby shower. Yes, grand-daugther Alice will be with us soon. (Excited...me....yeeeeaaahhhh)Well, september is not so far away huh! I thought I would play the TLC this week on SCS. I had so much fun playing yesterday. I used an image from STAMPINGBELLA. Also I used new dps I got from Simonsaysstamps. (authentique paper, collection: Uncommon.)

SCS FEATURED STAMPER - MAGNOLIA TULIPS -

Good evening everyone! Wow, just wanted to join the "play" today. I am so happy to visit SCS friends when time allows. It has been a very busy summer, what with my wedding, my trip and let's not forget grand-baby and one more to come in september!!! I am not complaining and almost forgot my own kids too. LOL

I saw this cute card in daisyfreak's gallery and thought to case it: Kept the same sketch, changed the papers and used a Magnolia image. Gee, I forgot the most important part, the stitching, didn't do it on mine...next time!

Here is a little about me. I have been a cardmaker for more than 6 years now. Enjoy every part of it. It keeps my beloved sister close to my heart, as we started sending cards to each other and then I fell in love with it when my best friend took me to a scrapping session. I have since shown my work on Splitcoaststampers and am now on 3 Design teams. My cards are pretty simple, yet  I try to make them unique and inspiring for the recipient.

#SFC109 - HANDWRITTEN FRENZY

Hello everyone,

Here I am on a cool monday morning. Boy does Heather, my CHIEF have a fun challenge again over at SQUIGGLEFLY. We are to handwrite our sentiments on our cards. I just love doing that and haven't for a while, so get our your pens and doodle up some funny words, or words of love.  I chose Teresa Ward's beautiful A GOOD READ digital image as my inspiration. The sentiment says,"Friendship is". And on the inside it reads: "like a great novel you never want to let down". Now ain't that just what you would love your friends to think about you!

#SFC107- HANG TEN

Hello everyone!

Wow it has been too long! I posted last week, but I was sort of in a daze from Paris. The jetlag hit real hard. I am glad to be back on this fine monday morning with another fun SQUIGGLEFLY challenge from Heather, chief of Heather's Headliners. She suggested we use a human or animal image that shows hands, feet (shoes, footie pj's, etc are ok), paws or claws or incorporate fingerprints, footprints or animal tracks into your project. .

This is my second entry as a DT member and I have to say I am always thrilled when Monday comes around! I used BABY ELEPHANT digital image from artist Crissy Armstrong. Ain't he cute and he is "hanging 10" indeed! Made mine a happy birthday card for a litttle boy.

Hello everyone,  I hope you are all fine and ready for another week of inspiration, creativity and fun in cardmaking land. I will and especially today because I was so tickled to be asked by Holly to join the Squigglefly design team. I love their images, they are cute, funny and outrageously cool! I want to welcome all the other girls too, but I had to make a special shout out to Deena, she joined as well. I know I will enjoy this new venture.

How about joining us in this week's challenge: Playing favorites hosted by Vicki. She thought since this week's is the last challenge for Chelsea's group that it would be fun for them to use any favorite image they have. If you don't have a Squigglefly image, you can use their freebies, isn't that fun! Remember you don't HAVE to use Squigglefly though.

I used this adorable image called Tiny tot, it's my favorite...for now!I did use Roxie's sketch from SCS.

Here is a card I made for my little grandaughter Marie Mychelle. We attended her christening today. She was all dolled up and adorable to boot!

Here is the best picture I could get, it was worst than paparazzi's there. She did good though, she fussed but a bit at the end because it was time for a feed. So there you are, the proud parents and Baby MM (Marie Mychelle)

The tree is from the Cricut cartrdige set "Heritage". Deena prepared these while I was visiting this week. Isn't she a doll! Thank you, I wish I could get my hands on one of those machines...someday.

 Hello everyone, was kind of busy this week, but I did want to show you what inspired me last night.
Here is another card for the Inspiration challenge inspired by the colors from these Festa-Limetta dishes again.The sketch is from last week's My favorite things sketch#23.

Wanted to show the inside sponged with the tree as template! Love the soft look of it.

This one is inspired by both Rosso Italian dishes and the Inspiration challenge inspired by the colors from these Festa-Limetta dishes and used this week's sketch challenge on SCS.

The paper I used is inspired by a card I saw in a CARDS magazine.

This is a card I made for My favorithe things sketch#24 I added the Rosso Italian dishes this time, again from the IC. The thought is inspired by this beautiful card  Dawn (TreasureOiler) created. Hope you don't mind Dawn, I just had to try this. The thought is so true and moving to me.

Sorry for the SHORT ( not writing alot)but GIANT(posting alot) post. Getting ready to fly now...leaving for Paris in a couple of weeks. YAY!

FOR A GOOD GIRL

Hello everyone,

'Tis a beautiful morning in my little neck of the woods. Not too hot, not to cold, just the kind or morning when you get up, go for your daily walk, exercise, shower and then sit down for the perfect cup of coffee, delicious toast and homemade applesauce ( no sugar please)  and exhale. I love my life!

Now on to my card: I made it for a dear friend who is turning 50 before I will (august is not here yet!) and used Tracy's cool sketch at East Sleep Stamp: Sketchy Thursday as my "guide". Also added it to these fun blog challenges: Cute Card Thursday:  Pins & Pearls, Papertake Weekly Challenge  Anything goes  May Arts Presents: A Ribbon Challenge.

My sentiment is handwritten in french, it is so very hard to translate "pour une chic fille", the closest I came was: "For a good girl" , yet, I feel it doesn't convey the "camaraderie", warmth, and deep feelings of love I have for my friend. Maybe a real interperter would know.

GIRLY DEE DEE

 Hello to everyone who finds pleasure and inspiration in visiting my creations. I know, I get alot of it from different blogs and make friends along the way. Isn't this what crafting is all about. We find pleasure in creating and then sharing our crafts in the hopes that someone will enjoy them and be inspired. This week I have to share that I was appreciated by Tracy(THANK YOU SO MUCH' YOU MADE MY WEEK) at Eat Sleep Stamp blog. (I am a SKETCH girl when it comes to cardmaking, need my guidelines, he, he, he.)  Last week was my first go at her sketch, but could not post it until our DT at the CRAFTY CREATIONS CHALLENGE posted up our challenge on wednesday. Little did I know, the same day, she chose my card as her SKETCH ARTIST for the week. I can't help myself, I had to share this with you all as a positive example of what sharing our work can do. This is on a small scale, but as we know, when news is shared, be it good or bad, it gets around. I'm sooo glad it's all GOOD.

PURE INNOCENCE IN THREES

Hello everyone,

Today I have for you a little cutie pie Pure Innocence from My favorite things. I was getting a serious case of "I NEED TO MAKE A CUTIE CARD" in the last weeks I made 11 Fathers day cards. So, it was quite refreshing to find My Favorite Things  WEDNESDAY STAMP CLUB SKETCH yesterday, I missed a few, so I thought I would add it to SQUIGGLEFLY's challenge which suggested we used thing in 3's. I first punched 3 corners of my squares, but you can't really see that. Then I added 3 little SU Fleurettes, 3 staples on my sentiment and 3 main colors, teal, lavender and red. I even added three borders on the inside. Cool huh. Hope you have a beautiful day, I am keeping inside mostly today as I I'm not quite ready to fly away to Paris right away with all the winds we've been having. LOL
