Hello everyone, How are you all today? I sure hope you are enjoying life and doing what you were made to, whatever it is.  Hello all! Today I am showing you a few cards. My first one is made for the HYCCT1116- To simply use a ribbon on our card.  I have been experiencing real joy creating each card, and I put alot of thought and love in them. I sometimes stop and think how cancer patients will have a moment of delight when recieving one and that is all the fuel I need to get to the next one. I have done 6 now and as I said before, I am doubling  the number of cards I am sending out this year, so I have 6 left. YAY! I really can't wait to send them all out! So if you want to join us by donating a few or maybe just one card, believe me it will make a difference, imagine if twenty thousand of us would donate only one...food for thought and action.

HOPE YOU CAN CLING TO MADNESS

Hello to all! I have yet made another card for the HYCCT challenges. I did Lee's challenge;You're my inspiration. I used the colors as inspiration and added a few more which inspired me.
I waited long enough to buy this cute and inspired Hope fights digital stamp from Whimsie doodles. Boy and I glad I indulged myself a bit and for a good cause too. All the money is donated to cancer research and...I love her!


Also used the Midnight Madness sketch challenge for this one!


I added a few close-ups because I used Amy's photographing tips you can find here: Photographing your papercrafts projects.

The little bandana is an extra and I paper pieced it to add a little dimension.

 I usually don't show close-ups, but I was so proud of how the pants came out so crisp and clean. No, I didn't wash them, I just didn't colour them in. 
(Guess you figured that out, but I had to be silly.)




That's 5 done and 7 to go! I am sending them all to the MD Anderson Cancer Center when I'm done.

So good to be back to normal after feeling quite down with the flu the past week-end. I am happy to report better health! YAY! Now, on with our Wednesday challenge at CRAFTY CREATIONS. Deena is hosting and she has a recipe card: 3 design papers, 2 embellishments and 1 image.

As you all know we have a new grand-baby girl named Alice, so I thought I could make a door hanger for her when she is napping, which is alot being a newborn and all, but then, Pierre came up with the fun phrase about Alice being in wonderland. Thought the "pun" was so funny, I used it. Amy is hosting and look below for the rules.

2ND ANNUAL HOPE YOU CAN CLING TO CAMPAIGN

Here is a card i made for the 2ND ANNUAL HOPE YOU CAN GLING TO CAMPAIGN  on SCS. HYCCT1101B-Bling the cling. I used white rhinestones on my ribbon. 

I am so glad I got to use the ribbon from Squigglefly's freebies, called "fight like a girl". Paper pieced the ribbon with this beautiful pink design papers I have been keeping just for this year's campaign again, and to enter my card in today's Squigglefly challenge to use paper piecing.


The cause is dear to me as alot of you might already know I lost my sister to breast cancer in 05. But to you and me, news of my brother's prostate cancer is new as in last friday. The prognosis is good for him , when he undergoes surgery soon. Doctors say he might not need chemo. Will keep you posted. 


That is why supporting people around the world is my way of helping put a smile in someone's day even when things aren't looking so pink!  :)Peggy
