SQUIGGLEFLY -SFC#113 - WRITER'S CRAMP

Hello everyone! I am so happy I got to make this fun challenge again this week. Looks like a back to school card right. It is, but it has two functions because it's for my BF's daughter, she is having a bday around the same time. So I thought she would get a kick out of it!

I have to say that being on the SQUIGGLEFLY DT has made me go "oooh and aaah" for a lot of images, and this one is no exception. This is Tiny Tina off to school from Tracey Malnofski.   This week our chief Heather is looking to give us all a WRITERS CRAMP. Well, what she really means is:
Use chalk (any kind), pencil, ball point pen, highlighter or crayons  or use a school themed image or sentiment on your project. I wrote my sentiment with White Signo pen on the chalkboard and added Crystal effects to it. Neat huh!

FOR MY SWEET STYLIST

 

Awwww yes, the day is nearing when my sweet stylist will be going into retirement. It is going to be an adjustment for alot of her loyal clients and fans! Let me say that she has been styling my hair since I was 7 years old, so like alot of other things, I should say people in my life, she is a CONSTANT. I can say that she has become a friend too. So it was only natural that I be assigned by her successor (another sweet stylist) to make a card that we will give her at the retirement party she planned for her next week! 

The sentiment in English says: To a spectacular retiree!

Note: My card is a 81/2" X 11", (needed alot of space for everybody to write their personal wishes) so I did change Stamping Bella's image a bit, as I scanned it and made her hair shorter for her to look more like my stylist. Added the wedge heel, that is all she wears too. 

AND PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT I AM NOT SELLING THIS CARD IT IS A GIFT.

Forgot to say that this card is inspired by Linda (holstein) on SCS, she is our Queen for the day, gee, it's been a while since I played that one. So glad I got a chance to discover a very talented cardmaker.

Good day to all! Boy do we have a challenge filled with laughs this week at CRAFTY CREATIONS CHALLENGE. Juelmarie is hosting and Digi's with Attitude are sponsoring.

I found this funny pun and worked it for a special card. The sentiment says: "You are necks on my list!" and the inside reads; ...of people to call back! I think this one will come in handy! LOL

Back to school already...as a kid, I used to love this time of year. The nights are getting cooler, the kids are getting restless and you can feel a shift in their "moods". I love to see the little ones trying on their first new school bag, or shoes My kids are grown up now and we just started having grandbabies and boy do I DON'T want them in school yet! So, hence my little note on my card which says: BACK TO SCHOOL, but not yet I am still happy to invite you to our PARTY TIME TUESDAYS challenge though.

 I just love this week's challenge at CRAFTY CREATIONS CHALLENGE, as always, because we are using Heidi's oh so cute images from 2Cuterubberstamps. Here is a card I made for my mother-in-law, to thank her for just being her sweet self.

SCS FEATURED STAMPER - MAGNOLIA TULIPS -

Good evening everyone! Wow, just wanted to join the "play" today. I am so happy to visit SCS friends when time allows. It has been a very busy summer, what with my wedding, my trip and let's not forget grand-baby and one more to come in september!!! I am not complaining and almost forgot my own kids too. LOL

I saw this cute card in daisyfreak's gallery and thought to case it: Kept the same sketch, changed the papers and used a Magnolia image. Gee, I forgot the most important part, the stitching, didn't do it on mine...next time!

Here is a little about me. I have been a cardmaker for more than 6 years now. Enjoy every part of it. It keeps my beloved sister close to my heart, as we started sending cards to each other and then I fell in love with it when my best friend took me to a scrapping session. I have since shown my work on Splitcoaststampers and am now on 3 Design teams. My cards are pretty simple, yet  I try to make them unique and inspiring for the recipient.

#SFC109 - HANDWRITTEN FRENZY

Hello everyone,

Here I am on a cool monday morning. Boy does Heather, my CHIEF have a fun challenge again over at SQUIGGLEFLY. We are to handwrite our sentiments on our cards. I just love doing that and haven't for a while, so get our your pens and doodle up some funny words, or words of love.  I chose Teresa Ward's beautiful A GOOD READ digital image as my inspiration. The sentiment says,"Friendship is". And on the inside it reads: "like a great novel you never want to let down". Now ain't that just what you would love your friends to think about you!
