SAILING...

Does anybody remember the summer of 1980 and Christopher Cross, this big bear kind of guy singing in a high pitch but such beautiful songs. This one is one of my faves for summertime Sailing I've linked a live version done in aug2007, cool!

It's for the AUG10VSNO hosted by Erica (msdaiquiri) on SCS. We were to use a summertime song as inspiration and a same number for the sketch an color challenge. I chose SC02 and CC02. What fun I had using Barbara's knot tutorial. Thank you so much for sharing that. And I needed a birthday card for my brother Ricky turning yep, 53. You wouldn't know by looking at him, he is one handsome dude. Here's a pic from 2007, still looks the same.

I know Ricky loves this song also. Thank you for stopping by, it's always a pleasure to see you.

Oh and for you single ladies out there, sorry, he's been LIVING HAPPILY with his wife for over 20 years now! I know, all the good ones are married! LOL

VINTAGE NEED FOR TWEED DRESS

A very good day to all,I have finally got these two cards made for our Queen for the Day none other than Peggy-Sue. Congrats my dear friend. I really love your work, but more, I love your kind and generous heart. You make me giggle all the time, you have such a fun sens of humour too. So I used this little baby Bundle of joy card of yours to case today. Made 2 'cause I love the sketch so much! Changed the dp, theme, and added little chocolate pearls on one and a simple button on the other with lace and ribbon too. The dp was inspired by the cool tweed vest from the fun website Stephanie chose for our Inspiration challenge on SCS. That awesome dp is from Linda (morningsun47), thank you so much Linda.

The images are from Gina K Designs. (see tuesday's post for the link)

Hello, I am early with my Mothermark's teapot card today as I am leaving to celebrate the most beautiful day on earth...my birthday!!! So here is my card, used the CARD PATTERN SKETCH and really enjoyed it. This is also a CARD DRIVE for ALEA, read all about it. The teapot is so pretty Cindy. I will chat more later.

Thanks for stopping by!

NOTE:This Gina K. Designs RETRO BOUTIQUE stamp set is a Christmas gift from the adorable Judi Rose.

CANDY STRIPE BLUE KETTO

Hello everyone, so here we are on Sunday and I made this one for the Featured Stamper and Queen for the Day...which is the same person Princess Heather. (check my first post of the day for the info) I used this pretty Candy Stripe Blue Moses Basket as inspiration for the colours from the Pink Taffy website Stephanie chose for the IC. And this oh so pretty plum card from Heather's gallery. I changed the format of the card and used some dp from SU, chocolate prism and this cute Ketto from Stamping Bella. Added a few pearls and a chocolate silver ribbon.

I know I will be back with more...stay tuned. It is always fun to see your smiling faces when you drop by.

CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST

THIS CARD WAS MADE SATURDAY BUT POSTED ONLY ON SUNDAY

Used this pretty baby card as skecth inspiration, but tweaked it a bit. Then, the Twisted sistah challenge was to use the red, black and white combo, and add sparkle for bonus points. And last but not least, for the IC, I thought these little models wearing the colours I needed, inspired me for a Christmas card, try and figure that one out and let me know how I came to that conclusion* (lol):

*...or maybe I'm just a sneaky CHEETAH!!!

Have a nice saturday everyone and please forgive my wicked ways!

FRIENDS FUREVER

THIS CARD WAS MADE SATURDAY BUT POSTED ONLY SUNDAY
It's sunday and as it is gloomy outside, it is sunshine in my scraproom, if you don't count the mess...lol! Well, it's a happy mess, for I've been whipping out cards for our sweet Featured Stamper I learned today, and she is also our Queen for the Day! She is none other than Heather aka Princess Heather. Now that is most unlikely to be named both on the same week, but as we all know now, it can happen. So congratulations Heather. I would not want to miss honouring this sweetie pie for the world. Check out her gallery here.

Though the colours of Heather's card inspired me, I used this little onesie from the Pink Taffy designs website.Used this so cute little horse card as inspiration for mine. I am sending this card to Mark, my little friend*.Changed the dp, flipped it and the side panel to the right and added this so cute doggie bone and doggie image from Sue (coffeestamper). Love it. And I know Mark loves dogs, so this should make him smile.

*Please click on the link to know all about Mark's story. And please feel free to send a card anytime, he will be needing some cheering up for a long time. Thank you kindly.

QUILT A FRIEND

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a beautiful day! I had to make a card for last week's Queen for the Day. I did case quite a few in her gallery, so I've been wanting to make a special one just for her. So I cased this card (which is actually a case from HamiltonGal's gallery)from her huge and beautiful gallery and will send this to her.

MIX AND MASHED KETTOS

I did it again! While Pierre was watching tennis last night...(excuse-me, I think I am going to be sick...lol )Don't get me wrong, hunky and handsome Rafael was not playing, so no interest in the game. Golf, no Tiger, no Peggy watching. Basketball, no Michael Jordan, no Peggy watching. Get the picture! LOL I, instead was having fun with my little friends the Ketto gals!!! Yes, they are made by Quebec ladies and you can find them at Stamping Bella's website. I used 2 that I don't have, Suzette the one with THE HAIR, Charlotte the one with THE PURSE. Love 'em both. Deena let me stamp a few hundreds while I was visiting last week. Thought I could also show you Deena's card she made for me last year for my birthday.Isn't she good! She is not only a very talented cardmaker, but a very good friend and cook. She makes the yummiest scones, with her secret recipe and way of making them too.
So this morning, I was all ready for the F4A challenge Dawn is hosting. We are to Mash it up,. Meaning we need to use more than one stamp company on our cards. I think I used 3 different sets on one. So that was easy and fun. I just love the friday challenges and of course playing with the Kettos..

Oh, almost forgot, the last card, in blue. Well, it's for the Card patterns sketch, kind of modified it by using only 1 circle, but still it inspired me and so did all the beautiful cards they had. Carla is their Guess designer team member, for that only, you should have a peak. Carla is not only a fine cardmaker, she is another sweet friend.

This is all my chatter for the day, must go do some writting before the Queen for the Day is announced...see you all later.

ANYA CARDS

Did this little sparkly 80's Anya because I never get enough of girly, cutsie cards! I have alot in my stash though. Used this week's sketch on SCS.
Hello everyone, I had these all cut and coloured last night, but was preoccupied with reading...finished The story of Edgar Sawtelle. Awesome read, can't talk about the end, don't want to give it away. So I decided to finish them this morning, This one in particular is for the Sketch challenge, Roxie used DonnaMaria's sketch and I just loved paper piecing it. It is also for this week's Crafty Creations Challenge, to use butterflies, I did on my dp from K & Company (Berry Sweet) and made a ribbon butterfly from Joan's tutorial on her blog for she was hosting the TLC this week on SCS. Had fun!

Have fun today, I will. And pllease drop by, I do enjoy your visits!

TENT CARDS

I actually made another card for the WT today. I used versamark and chalk. Just love using that technique. I made this card for Gabe, Dante's little brother, thought he would like to recieve something in the mail also. I sent Julia a nice little card also, but in my haste to send it, forgot to take a picture of it. And now, I need to send this out today for Gabe, so it won't be too far behind his brother's and sisters. I had fun looking at all the cards for Dante's card drive. You can have look too.

My card is also for Treehouse thursday challenge 063, "Under the sea".

Still used Beate's easy tutorial on SCS.

Have a whale of a day...

Here is a card I made for the WT challenge on SCS. Today, Stephanie, who is standing in for Julia, suggested we use versamark in different ways. I did the heat embossing way, on this cool Tent Card which you can find the Tutorial for on SCS. Used opalescent EP, that's why there is alot of sparkle. IThough I know I am pushing it a bit, I made this card for the CC, Betty has such a fine taste in CC.

SHABBY COLOR INSPIRED BLOSSOMS

Here I am again...surprised myself (lol) with another card. This time for a few challenges. I used Flourishes color challenge and their pretty Cherry blossoms stamp as my main image for the Timeless Tuesday challenge. Also was inspired by The shabby tea room challenge ( my first try at their challenge, love it) and used the Mojo Monday sketch and tweaked it a bit, hope that's okay. The sentiment says: Happy birthday in french!

Good evening to all, and thank you so much for stopping by, it make me smile everytime.

DANTE'S CATCH **CARD DRIVE**

Here is a card for our teapot party and card drive this week. It is a story about fishes and wishes! Here I have little Dante, sitting, smiling, fishing...he heard about the trouble Gullible Gill is in, but don't you know he caught 2 of the TOP FISHTHUGS. With this catch Dante has got leverage to make an offer even the FISHFATHER can't refuse. So this story ends pretty well. Gill will not finish in a basket somewhere in Idaho among chips! Dante will take her home and keep her with his 42,000 other fishes in the humungous pond behind his house.

My sketch is of course from the Midnight madness ladies!!! Used the CAS version and changed the oval to a square!

Have fun with the day ladies, I need to rest some today...

BABY BLUE JELLYCAT ELEPHANT

Here at last is my little blue elephant...isn't he sweet, well the inspiration from Jellycat and the one I used too. I did get to use another card from our Queen's gallery to inspire me. I always love Cindy's stories about her cards. This one had swirls, and I love swirls, but I love Cindy more, so I used gingham and argyle. I told you I had a blue elephant. WOW, glad I got to making this one. Guess that will be another improvised card set for someone...

NOTE: To Anne Ryan; hum, I don't think Cindy is expecting anything more than a teapot in the mail from some kind lady from around the world and alot of cards from us all caseing her.

To Debzi33; I am certainly not expecting a baby lion, giraffe or elephant anytime soon, though one never knows, the strangest things can happen in this world.

So, I hope my annoucements will rest those QUIRKY rumours to sleep, as a baby would. LOL

PRECIOUS JELLYCAT GIRAFFE

Here I am with another card for our sweet Queen Cindy! Had to do a teapot now! I used this funny giraffe without the clouds (I haven't tried her easy clouds template yet...) so decided to make a baby card. Also was inspired by this so cute Jellycat giraffe.

Now how adorable can you get...well, as much as this giraffe looks sweet, I saw a BLUE elephant and guess what colour is my little wooden elephant huh... stay tuned for my next card later on this afternoon. Life calls, I need to do my mommy and sister duties!

I just love the IC website Stephanie thanks again for hosting and making wow throughout my morning and well, Cindy made me wow and chuckle a whole lot, her gallery is entertainement at it's peak!!!

Thank you for looking and enjoy this beautiful Saturday, it's the only one we've got!!!

BLOG CANDY !!!

Here is a big loot of blog candy one generous stamper name Kellie Winnell has posted on her blog. Check it out for a chance to win!!! Thank you for stopping by!

MINE ARE LIONS...I'M SURE

Here is my last card of the day. Today at noon was announced our Queen for the DAY on SCS and she is a special Queen indeed, she is Cindy, better known to us all as the MUDDAH (Mothermark). She hosts the Tuesday teapot challenge, which I am an avid fan of. I try not to miss one. They are so funny and nutty...hence my blog name. I get so nutty when I create for this one! I used this very colourful card from Cindy's gallery as inspiration. I had little three D wooden animals that looked like hers

Also used the august sketch challenge from Rubberstampchat. Tweaked it, as is my way of creating. Little tweak here, and a little tweak there, here a tweak, there a tweak, ol' Miss Nutty made a card eeh a eeh a ooooooooohhhh!!! Warned you about the nutty part didn't I!

So here is to you Cindylou! You are my favorite Stinker! Hugsxo
Here is a close-up of the 3D Lions! Cool huh! Thanks for stopping by, the pleasure is all mine!

RELAXING PIXIE

Another card for today. This is for the Sketch Challenge on SCS. Roxie used this beautiful sketch from Hobbydujour and for the Simonsaysstampblog this week. It's all about the end of summer blues, so of course we had to use blue, and blue is my favourite colour you know. I used a cute C.C. Designs Pixie you can find at Simonsaysstamp .

FAIRY WITH A Z-FOLD

Here is my card for this week's Crafty creations challenge. This week was all about winged things and make a z-fold card. Well, you know me, always up for a challenge so I did use Debbie Olsen's tutorial and the result is not so bad. Tweaked it a bit, but I did get to use a fairy from my niece Aja. I just love them! Hope you enjoy the view and remember to call a friend today, just might be the lift he or she needs. Hugsxo

SWEET NEW BABY

Hello everyone, I just had to post these cards this morning, as I am going to write this afternoon. I used my newly purchased Making Memories dps Pitter patter Sophie. The sketch is from Flourishes and so are both sentiments inside and out. There are no other stamps on this card. The little baby animals are so cute, I thought of using only them and it fit the sketch. Added a few "faux stitching" with my faithfull signo white gelpen, a pink ribbon and that was it! My card is also for the Twisted sistah's challenge. Tater wanted us to make a baby card without a baby. Well, mine are animals...hum, does that count, and I am using pink...are we allowed now...not sure, but since this is a TWISTED challenge, I'll take my chances.
This is the inside of my card. I used the Baby Love stamp set Flourishes sentiment inside. Thought you would like to see it. Have a beautiful day everyone and especially creative one!

MUSCULAR DUDE

Well, I was efficient enough today. I wrote 1 page of my book today, some days it's more, but for today, I say I am happy with myself. I did find some time after supper to concoct this fun card for my BF's son's birthday. The message says "Muscle up your dreams" kind of. That's the closest I could get in translating. Used this image from clipart, minus the bunny.

I just love the Mojo monday sketch and it was just perfect for this clipart image I used. Thank you all for looking and enjoy the day! I did. Many hugsxo

GO ANDREW CARD DRIVE

Hello everyone,

We have another card drive this week, and you can read the story of Andrew . It is always so sad to hear about kids being sick, and sending cards will will surely make his little face brigthen up, and that's what the cards and encouraging messages are all about. The community of SCS gals joined with the ladies of the Teapot party will make sure of that.

I also used the Midnight madness sketch, which curiously had sort of a baseball plate...was that intentional, if so, cool move Priscilla. If not, talk about your happy coincidence! The colours from Betty' CC were also perfect and the added news print, I did with some funny lettering I had.

Well, I bid you peace and hope you can find the time, to make a card for this precious little boy dealing with too much for his young age. I am off to write now. See you all soon!

GORJUSS DOTS & GINGHAM

Hello everybody! I have been up early this morning, writing! Yes, I have. I really enjoyed coming back to my book, it's like sort of coming back home and catching up with everyone. I did have to read alot, which was interesting, because I always try not to be too critical or else, I loose alot of time changing my story. So I just let it flow, and got back to the good parts, which I can't mention for obvious reasons.

Enough of that, now I did make a card yesterday for our Featured Stamper Vick-i(vdutchr)with an I. I keep teasing her with that because I use to write Vicky with a Y and she told me once it was Vicki with an I, so it kind of stayed with me. LOL She is one talented stamper also, and I always enjoy her smiling face in my gallery on SCS. So I chose this cool card as inspiration for mine.

Just love playing with the gorjuss girl image, this one is from Pat, which the stamp was from Christina. Sweet Christina! Also used Martha Stewart patterned paper and crystal fine on the dots of the paper pieced dress, ofrray grosgrain pink ribbon, little flowers from Anne, a fun gem brad, Victoria and forest branch folders, and a few copics and touch pens.

Thank you all for looking and enjoy today!

GORJUSS CORRYN INSPIRED

Good day everybody! Slept in this morning as Corryn is back with her foster family. She is well and so happy to find them all back. She assured me she would be back soon. :) I did feel like using this little Gorjuss girl from Sugar Nellie on my card, though Corryn doesn't have the kind of shy demeanor this little girl has. I felt like making cutsie in a sparkling way. The Queen for the Day on SCS is Irene (DanDI93) and I chose this pretty window card as inpiration for my sketch along with the IC (inspiration challenge) on SCS also. We have a belt buckle website called Frankie & Julie, I used this floral Havanafuscia one as my inspiration for colours, though mine is a more antique pink and silver instead of gold. Had fun with it, and that is the main reason I make cards everyday!

Have a beautiful Saturday, may you bring a smile to someone along your way today!

ROAD TRIP FOR GIRLS ONLY

Don't ya just loved those road trips! I remember a few which wee quite fun actually. One in Platsburgh that got a bit dangerous driving on the opposite side of the interstate at quarter to midnight, laughing too much to tell my friend to go to the other side of the road. So with those tender memories in mind, here is a card for the Twisted sistahs challenge this week. I'm hosting so please join in the fun, as we are looking for all "things on wheels", add TSC0806 in your keywords in the SCS gallery.

This is also for the F4A challenge as you know we all take a Westfalia to drive to the farmers market and handpick from what they picked from their gardens!!!

I know I'm stretching this, so if you have any complaints, please pm Jovialjudi, she will explain everything.

WEDDING BELL BLUES

Here is a card I made for the Simonsaysstamps blog, we needed to make a card inspired by a song. So I chose; WEDDING BELL BLUES from the 5th Dimension (The age of Aquarius Album). What beautiful memories. I just have to add that my sisters and I would tease our dad with that song because his name is Bill (William), and in those days, it was unheard to call your parents by their first name. But he loved to be teased because while the two older sisters would hold him, I would kiss his cheeks, when I could get to them. It makes me smile while I'm writing. Anyway, my card is also fora few other challenges as you must suspect by now. Crafty creations challenge are all about weddings or anniversarys, check out the inspiration. Also for the QFTD Francie G. You just might not recognize her card, but the awesome nestie inspired me to play with my label four again! Oh and before I forget, I used pins for the WT on SCS. Faith is hosting today. The image is from Whiff of joy. Love it. And last but not least, I used this for the F4A challenge on SCS, because roses grow in gardens...I know I am pushing it, but I really wanted to play.

BOTOX GOSSIP BIRTHDAY

Hello everybody! I have the pleasure of using my newest stamps "Café Scarlette" and that is always special. I won those last week. I used this gossip girl, and turned her into a birthday (with gossip) girl. The Totally Stampalicious challenge this week is "inside and out". So I finished my card with sentiment and all. LOL The sketch is from SCS of course and it's Dawn's sketch.
Here is the inside. Thank you for stopping by, it's good to see you. Big hugs!

THINKING OF GERY

Here is a card I made for our Featured Stamper this week. She is Alanna (AL_SILVER2) on SCS. I chose this card of hers because the swirls reminded me of the swirls in this cool dp, and I needed a thank you card for a friend. This is also for the F4A challenge from last friday on SCS.
I just had to do this sketch from the Mojo Monday blog, it has been too long since I played, and yes, there is a contest on the first monday and it did help me get started. Used my little Animal stories from SU giraffe and did the TLC this week, hosted by Joan. It was called plaid silhouettes. Here tutorial is quick and easy. Thank you Joan, for sharing this fun and easy technique with us. My picture is a bit dark because of the metal sentiment. Cool huh, it says BABY GIRL in french.
Last but not least, this is my card for the CC, MMTPT and the MMSC. My write ups are short because I have my sweet Corryn with me, and it's only for a short while. She is leaving friday after supper...sniff, sniff, sniff. She will be back though, I know, still, she is the apple of my eye.

Almost forgot to add our Destination station stamper friend. Please if you can, send this lady a card, so deserved.

Have a superberly creative day!
