RIDE, SALLY, RIDE

Here I am with my card for alot of challenges...finally. Guess I was all carded out after my 10 cards shuffle!
The theme for theSplitcoaststampers fan club this month is songs, just click on the link and you will see.

So my card says Ride, Sally Ride, but the song is indeed Mustang Sally...does anybody want to hear it... I just thought this sweet lady looked like a Sally...so yeah...as the chorus goes...Ride...Sally...Ride!

A Big CONGRATS goes out to Jo (Reddyisco) our new Queen for the Day! You have such a pretty style Jo, I am so happy I found this sweet card to case:

Enjoy your reign, you are so deserving. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement all the time. xo

I also entered this card in the WT challenge, which is Glitter and hosted by Kim! and guess you could enter this one in the F4A challenge because it is for a birthday card too.

This is an image from Anne Ryan, thank you PIC.

Thank you all for looking and enjoy

MRS WINTER

Hello, hello,

Oh how I have been making cards all day, I need to make more, but I just had to stop and show you this one too. I love this Winter lady she is from The Stamping Place and she is actually a gift from MishB, Michelle! She does fabulous work, and was a darling to send me a few to play with. My sister is going to give it to a good friend of hers. Think she'll like it...he he he

The tutorial for the tent card is found on SCS. Beate is the queen of tutorials. Thank you for stopping by, it's always good to see you around. :)

PINKY & GIRLY FOR YOU ABBY

Here is a card I made for a young girl 15 and a half. Her name is Abby and she is undergoing a long cancer treatment. Read all about it here on SCS and here Caringbridge. I used the Color Challenge also. Vicki's hosting it this week on SCS. My dessert option was pink for the girly in Abby! I also used the midnight madness sketch this week.

HIWM: BoBunny Christmas dps, pink multicraft, silver currency, night of navy blue SU, blue pearls from Martha Stewart, ribbon from Pat Smethers, copic, stickles rangers.

LAVENDER BEAR

Congratulations Lisa (lisaadd)! What a beautiful day for you and for me, because I just love this card I was lurking at from a far...now I can case it in your honor today! I love the flowers and the different size in shapes of the panel. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing gallery with us!

This card is also for the crafty creations challenge which was all about bears this week. Also is for Simonsaysstamps challenge, which is to make a Christmas card with any color but red and green:

NOTE: I have to mention that I used the beautiful lavender leafy dp Deena's oldest son gave me, I really love how it turned out. Please, if you can mention it, I will send the link so he can read it. Also, the other "design paper" is not really one, it's a cardboard from some embellishments I bought a while back, but just had to keep it and I came across it this morning and it really fit the color combo I was going for. So keep those packaging cardboards you never know...

SYMPATHY CARD INSPIRED BY JUDI

Here is another card for our Queen for the Day Bridget (bfinlay). I really love the gold embossed tree she had on there, that I gave it my twist. I love her work and her kind words and encouragement she leaves to alot of us on SCS. Thank you for stopping by...must be on my way to work on Christmas Cards.

Here is a card I made for my godfather's family, he has just passed away last week. I thought this card from our sweet Judi (jovialjudi) inspired me sooo much. And from the looks of it and the hits and favorites it got, has inspired alot of us on SCS!

SEWN SHAKER SNOWMAN

Hello everyone, I was visiting Deena today! I made this fun and whimsical Christmas card with the new sewing machine she bought me for Christmas. Ain't I spoiled... I was soooooo happily surprised, so I stitched my first card. YAY She did one too, but was not all finished with hers when I left. I will give you a link to her blog when she's done okay. My card surely fits the F4A challenge on SCS. I think it took me less than 15 minutes not counting the stitching of course! WOW I reallly love how it turned out. Guess Deena's company helped me along, I even finished the inside I was so excited about it! Hope you had a lovely visit, I did enjoy having and of course visiting Deena too. Have a beautiful week-end everybody, and remember, now is a gift, or else why would we call it PRESENT...read that somewhere...food for thought.

HIWM*: Winter Wonderland Kaiser Craft Dp's, multicraft Shaker Stickers, sewing, tree punch and red cardstock is bazzil.

*How it was made=HIWM!

This is the inside! I really love to finish my insides...guess one Judi Rose is responsible for that!

PINK & GOLD SNOWSTORM

Happy Monday to all! It is beautiful today, inside and out. First of all, I have Corryn over since Saturday which I am sooo happy and grateful for. We had some fine times, watching some youtube clips of Old Sesame street with John John and Henry. It made Corryn smile and laugh out loud with me. We also had a delicious lunch. I warmed up my chick pea soup and it disappeared in our tummies like it was going out of style! Now, she is watching a show she enjoys while I'm uploading. I am taking her back this afternoon, she will be attending a Christmas party so she is very excited about that.

Guess the colors of her cheeks and lips inspired me using pink today. I love it with gold too. I used Kim's (nutsymulh) sketch a previous FS on scs as inspiration for mine, except she had flowers and I made a snowstorm with my Inkadinkadoo Christmas stampset a gift from Helen (misshelenstamps) last year. I just love it. Also used the emboss resist technique, I love it and can't believe it was never featured as the TLC on SCS either. But Joan changed all that today, as she suggest we try it for those who never had. And...last but not least, I used a creme ribbon to make a neat bow for the CAS challenge on SCS also. My card is really 2 layers if you don't count the base...I know...but my bow was so pretty, I had to enter it.

PURPLE & BLUE CHRISTMAS

Have this fun challenge with the Twisted sistahs, it's all about purple and blue Christmas. Wanna' join us? Just make a card with those criterias and add the TSC1203 number in the keywords.

This is a sketch inspired from a card from our Featured Stamper Kris (Krischir). I'm sorry I took so long to play my dear, but I did not want to miss your special Day. I still have the beautiful scalloped oval frames and fun brads you sent me. Congratulations to you, an honour well deserved my friend. I love the fun sewing machine you used and the different textures of
Changes: different image, blue dps from Helen (misshelenstamps). ribbon scallop punch.

Thank you all for looking and have a beautiful day

BIRTHDAY STYLIST " E "

I am so glad it's friday, we have a new Queen for the Day again! YAY, this time it's Sheri (Ksnurse). Just love the card which inspired me today. I love the romance a ballet dancer adds and the gems she used!

THINKING OF LINDA

Hello dear blogfriends in blogland...oh how I have been sooo gone the last week huh. Well, I'm back, and I have a card for someone in need of some love. Of course it's from our own Destination station at the teapot challenge. I also wanted to play the challenges I have been missing lately. There is of course the CC on splitscoast and Priscilla's midnight madness sketch. I am glad I made it and will have some pictures of the craftshow later on the week. It wasn't a money making experience this year, though I did cover the cost of my table, it was more about new and interesting people!

Have a good day to all! Hugsxo from the Nutty Cardmaker

CANDY CANE KISSES

This card is for the Crafty creations challenge this week, which was all about "beautiful insides":

So I used my new MFT called A la mode collection. and used this rainbow ski hat as inspiration from the Vintage plaid website introduced by Stephanie for our IC this week. I used Mercy's sketch. It's neat and so fun to play with.

thank you all for looking and you'all come back now you hear! :)

CARDINAL RED CHRISTMAS

Here is the card I created for the Midnight madness sketch challenge. I used this handsome red cardinal as my focal image and thought this red ribbon would make him look even better. This came together pretty quickly. Surprisingly, I kind of like it. The frame and a little lace too! Thank you for stopping by, it's always good! :)

SHABBY ROMANCING

Hello! Today is so beautiful outside, I could not start crafting before I went for my daily walk . That done, along with a good hearthy/healthy soup, ending with a slice of apple pie and vanille ice cream, for lunch.

I created this card started with this adorable card from our Queen for the Day this week, Bev (Maxell) on SCS. I also was inspired by this cute little deer pin to alter my brads.

This is a completely new style for me. I figure since I don't have a "style" per say, I love to play with different kinds of styles. Though, when I think of it a little more. I could admit to being quite biased when it comes to anything "cutsie". Kettos, The Greeting Farm, Pure Innocence, etc... Anyway, I really enjoyed making this with alot of inspiratin from Melissa Phillips style right here.

PINK BABY GIRL MOUSE

Hello ladies in blogland. Gee, I am at a low paste these days. What with getting ready for the craft show in 2 weeks, my cardmaking is limited to creating without showing much of my work. As you know uploading takes time. So this morning, I peeked at the CAS challenge on SCS and thought of making a little baby girly card all in pink. It also fits the Crafty creations challenge this week, which is all about buttons. Sooooooooo needed that. Now, I will be back to cardmaking, should see more of everyone and everyone's work after the craft show, it will be December by then...how time flys! Love that you stopped by. Happy day to all! :)

HOLIDAY ANYA

Another card for our Featured stamper Tobi (jazzytobi). Her ly color and sketch on this oh so girly card inspired me. Had to give my little glitters a try. They are from Martha Stewart. (Carrara marble). Just had to do a close up. The glitter is even prettier in real life.

See you all soon, until then, keep that beautiful smile and share it with others too okay. :) Nitee, nite. Peggyxo

CHRISTMAS COCOA BELLA

Hello everyone,

I am so happy to have played the Featured Stamper today. I had this young girl in mind. Just love Tobi's card. I did keep with the cocoa color scheme, but changed my image to Christmas Bella and added a little touch of red to mine with the poinsetta.

Thank you all for stopping by, I love to see you. I am off to make another one!

COLORFUL CHRISTMAS CHOIR

Hello everyone!

I had to work the CardPatterns sketch today, it's such a fun one! I used Mo Manning's Christmas choir image. I love that there are so many different nationalities in this image. You can't quite see the sparkle from the aytou spica markers do to it though. Had to use the little poinsetias I got from the $ store. Aren't they just the cutest. Used the silver paper and script embossing folder as thet are part of my background. Aaaaand, I had to use a soft powder blue panel from bazzil. The black panel too. he, he!

This penguin(Inkadinkadoo clear stamp) card is for the Midnight madness sketch challenge at Priscilla's blog. They used an oval, and I just used a simple rectangle. Added the red sparkly thread instead of the oblique panel. Don't you just love that little Joyeux Noël sentiment. It's from SU. My little penguin looks like he could be part of the Teapot party too, because he has got those original swirls all over him, they are tatoos actually. LOL

Thank you so much for stopping by, you are so sweet! :)Peggyxo

CHOCOLATE CAFÉ WITH MOJO

Happy monday everybody!

Am I a spoiled gal today. Yep, I learned this morning bright and early that I won CANDY BLOG from Judi Rose. Check out her blog here at paper-rose-petals. It's always fun to win something and thought I would share.

Now, for today, I have played with the Mojo sketch today. Very easy peasy, but I worked on the colors. Hope you all enjoy today. I needed simple and simple and fun it was. Thank you for stopping by, I enjoy to see you around.

PURE INNOCENCE GIFTED CHILD

Here is another card I made. This one is for the CC this week! Used a softer blue from my scraps. Thank you for hosting Joanne. The sketch is from Priscilla's Midnight madness' blog.

I missed these challenges too!

Thank you for stopping by, it's always fun to see what you have to say! hugsxo

SNOWY INSPIRATION

Happy Saturday everyone, I've missed you ladies!

I have been a bit out of the "SCENE" lately. Not to worry, I am just taking some time for my other hobbies; writing and drawing. I do love to Yoga, walk and once and a while, a complete 45 minute work out too.

I did get to do a few cards this week, and took the time to honor our so sweet Queen for the Day; Hilda (Broom). I used a snowman card as inspiration for my theme, the colors from these cool earring from the Destiny's creations website. Once again, I thank Stephanie (smilynstef) for this awesome jewelry playground, check out her card, isn't that a fine look!

And lost but not least, because for me, the sketch is what really gets me going...(guess I love structure in my life) I used the Mojo monday sketch 162.

Thank you all for looking and enjoy this day!

LAURIE THE SKUNK

Well, here I am with our Queen for the day card from technically still this week. (The new one will be named around 12 noon...) So, Lorie(MelodyGal) has this beautiful gallery filled with amazing work. Colorful, sweet and most of all happy and bright! I used this card from her gallery because of the sweet Greeting Farm image (dressy ebony digital) she used, it got me to ink up this adorable little LAURIE the skunk image I got from Scrappin' great deals. (B-day gift from Judi xo).

Tweaked her card, and added a few little die cut flowers from Linda (morningsun47). I must get back to more cards. It was fun to see you stop by, feel free to drop by anytime...I'm here all the time. LOL

PLAID & FLOWERS

Here is my card for the Twisted Sister Challenge. I am hosting this week and I suggested we use Plaid and flowers, with paper piecing. I came up with this .

Also used this month's sketch at Rubberstampchat. Love this sketch. Added a few pearls to make it the more feminine. Thank you for stopping by, it's always good to see you.

OLD AND NEW

Here is another card for the HOPE YOU CAN CLING TO CHALLENGE. Sara Henton suggested we use something we had that was new and something old. Well, the image, the nestie, the yellow pearls and ribbon are new and the dps, letters ar old.

It is also for the Crafty Creations Challenge this week, and they had a sketch too. WOW, I looooooove sketches, so I was served this week. I think I made 4 different ones today only!
Thank you all for looking and enjoy the day.

PURE INNOCENCE X-MAS

So happy I found time to make Roxie's SC this week. She used Jaspere's cool sketch. Loved it and used this sweet PI winter girl as my main image. I also used Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding dp and some fun flock...guess I need some more practice on that one! Also used copic in red and chocolate and sage were Touch markers. Thank you for stopping by, I am stocking up slowly on my Christmas cards. That's always good!

FALL WHITE TREE

Here is a card I made for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday. This week Cindy Haffner had a fun sketch to work with. I used their Forest of trees set. I hadn't used it in a while and I missed it.

Also did Betty's Color Challenge hosted by Wanda too. The dessert option was white, and I embossed my tree in a white.

CARDS TO GIVE HOPE

Here is another card for the HYCCT Challenge going on on SCS for all the month of october. There will be challenges daily and you can make one and send it to the address listed in the Hope you can cling to thread found here. This challenge was given by Joan B, she wanted us to go "unsentimental", meaning we could not use a sentiment on our card. Cool challenge. I used the MFT Cancer awareness stamp set.

Here is another card for the HYCCT Challenge going on on SCS for all the month of october. There will be challenges daily and you can make one and send it to the address listed in the Hope you can cling to thread found here. This challenge was given by Lydia (Understandblue), a darling stamper and fine cardmaker too. We were to use PINK for any holiday of our choice. I decided to use my Inkdadinkadoo tree. Hope you like it.
Little Cheeky Chelsea from The Greeting Farm made an appearance for Beate'S challenge on all things lacey and feminine, "Lingerie inspired". Thought this little sweetie would get your attention. I love this image because she reminds me of Marilyn Monroe!
Here is another one for the HYCCT challenge. This time Lorie was suggesting we Bring in the brown, chocolate for matting our cards instead of grey, black or white CS. Cool look huh. Love that Bella too. The sentiment is from MFT. I hope to have more ready soon. Have a good day and thank you so much for spending some time here with me. :)

STRIPES & DOTS

Here is a card I made for the HOPE YOU CAN CLING TO CHALLENGES from SCS. I will be trying to make one everyday and send them out to ease some of the pain of living with this disease. It's a small contribution, but one I know will put smile, so little or big, offere from the heart, that is what matters. I also used Priscilla's midnight madness sketch. Really cool sketch once more.

Thank you so much for dropping by, you are really sweet. :)

DOUBLE SCOOT'S

Congratulations to Allison (alimarbles) she is our Featured Stamper today. What an excellent choice and fine CAS style she has. So here is the card that started my scooter set. Did keep with the SCOOTER theme, but changed somewhat of the colors and added a little "French" sidewalk to the Parisian scooter and made the Christmas one with traditional colors.

Hope you like them, I have enjoyed going through your amazing gallery Allison. Enjoy the honor, well deserved!

CHERRY ON TOP AWARD FIRST BLOG AWARD

I need to clarify something first. I had recieved this blog award from Sally and was not aware of it. I was recovering from surgery then sept.10. So, today, I have learned from Sally that I had one, so this is technically my first blog award, but posted after my second one from Brenda...hope this all makes sens. I am still quite happy with both of them. Love will do that to you everytime!

The rules for this award are:

  • Thank the person who gave me this award
  • Put the award on my blog
  • List 3 things I like about myself:
  1. I'm an open, friendly kind of gal, just like Sally!
  2. I've been writing my first novel forever...
  3. I would love to raise a dog just like "Daddy", Cesar's pittbull.
Pass the award to 5 other lovely people:

Carol- Chocolate, Crafts and bears, Oh My!
Michelle-Figments of my imagination
Linda-Lovely Linda's Craft Central
Crystal-Crystal's Crafty Creations
Patricia-Stamping with Kokirose

  • Post a picture I love:

This is a picture of Soelah I love. It was taken around 1971, she was 15. You know how most people have dogs as pets, we had ducks. Every Easter we would get a duck and call Bertrand, this was the first one by that name, and he was so well domesticated, that he would take walks with us to the corner store, and wait faithfully our return. He even crossed over when he saw the school bus lights flash at the end of the street, so he could greet us right off the bus. He was amazing. We all loved him, but I know Soelah was Bertrand's favorite person, she was so nice to him and he sensed it.

As some of you might know, I lost her to breast cancer 5 years ago it will be on december 2nd. She was 5 years older than I, but she was more like a mom to me, a best friend and a true soul mate. So when she left, it hit pretty hard. You go through the denial stages, then you get angry at the loved one for leaving you, then acceptance moves in and it is still scary because while it does, I was afraid I would forget her. How weird that was. October is Cancer awarness month, and I will be doing what I can, making cards, buying "pink" products in the hope that one day, cancer will be like the flu and we can have a vaccine for it. Until then, it is wise to keep healthy, and do what we need to be with our loved ones as long as they need us. Keep smiling, keep shining, life is worth living every second of it.

Hugs, Peggyxo

DRINK MILK?

First, I want to congratulate our Queen for the Day HOLLY (Kopy Kat). It's time for you to shine and take a bow. We are honoring your generosity and presence in alot of our galleries. You take time to encourage, as put a smile on my face when I see you everyday. Thank you Holly, I love it when you stop by my gallery. You are so inspiring to a huge number of us.

Now, this is the inspiration I used for my card:Kept in the same sketch, used different dps, though I kept the polka dot and square theme.

This week the QFTD hostess asked us to improvise a real or not story. We all love Anne Ryan because when it comes to cheating...she is the Queen. LOL So here is my real or not story about the picture I used.

This is me and Lise, a little friend that was named after my mom by her neighbor and good friend. Lise and I were playmates, and as you can see here I was a bit bossy way back when...After this picture was taken, I flipped her over my shoulder and ran to my room after snitching her bottle. As I recall hers had something in it that made us laugh and talk loud, but gee, did we ever take long naps too. Hum, wonder what kind of "happy" drink that was...

Come to think of it, don't know what was more embarrassing for our moms. To take two 2 year olds to AA meetings or knowing they were responsible for it. LOL Awww, I do miss those days...LOL

Please note that there were no real babies nor now or in 1962 that was fed spiked milk...well, not in our family anyway! LOL

ONE LOVELY BLOG AWARD

I have recieved my first blog award and it made me all fuzzy inside because it came from Brenda (Benzi). She is a darling stamper and we "visit" each other's blogs and galleries regularly. I need to extend the sweetness here and add these ladies for the "Lovely blog award too".

Thank you so much Brenda for thinking of me, I love this idea!

Deena - A Necessary Creativity
Judi- paper-rose-petals
Holly- KopyKat Creations
Dawn- My Stamping Thyme
Cookie-Cards by Cookie
Silke- My life
Bonnie- Pretties by Bonnie

So here are the ladies and blogs that I enjoy visiting from time to time. All these stampers are friends and are both talented, creative and oh....soooo sweeeet! Stop by and find out for yourselves if you didn't already! Have a good day everyone and remember to smile, it's quite the remedy to alot of aches and pains. :)

SAGE OWL

This is a pun but in french and English. Let me explain...Sage is the color of course, but it does mean "wise" in french...so get it! Though this little guy, looks kind of out of it, he is sooo cute. This image from Deena,(moonrise) the dps from Linda (morningsun47). I keep telling myself not to use them,(for I will run out o f them, you know how we hoarders are) but I just can't help it, they are so beautiful! Thank you again Linda.

The challenge is from Crafty Creations Challenge, this week they are all about owls!
The sketch is from this amazing stamperfriend we all know, admire and love here Silke (sparklegirl)She had so many challenges in this one! Isn't it adorable. Love these PI images and the little red ribbon. Thank you for sharing, I simply could not resist caseing this one! hugsxo

Thank you all for looking and enjoy the day!

WINTER SCENERY & WAVY DAY

Even added this little Christmas twin set for the fun of it. Love the images, gifts from Pat and Deena. Love the dps from Daisyd designs.
Hello ladies! I just had to try out this week's sketch on SCS. I just love what Roxie comes up with and this one is right up my alley. Simple and fun! I needed that.
